Jesse McCartney has become the latest artist struck by Leona Lewis fever. Following the footsteps of P. Diddy and Whitney Houston, the pop singer stated that he also wants to collaborate with Leona. Jesse confirmed that news to the press, saying, "I've tried to get my people talking to her people because I'd love to do something with her as a duet."

The young singer/songwriter also believes that the collaboration between him and Leona would be "something pretty fresh." "People have seen the ballad side of her and they know that she can sing," Jesse explained. "So I think she needs something a little more rhythmic and fun now."

Jesse himself actually has a big part on the British female singer's success as he is one of the writers who wrote Leona's current hit single "Bleeding Love". The "Beautiful Soul" singer co-wrote the track with OneRepublic vocalist Ryan Tedder. The 21-year-old pop stud will also put his own "Bleeding Love" version on his latest album "Departure" for its Asia and Australia edition.

Besides planning to do a duet with the British sensation, Jesse also revealed other project to the press, which is to write a song for Mariah Carey. "I'm hoping to write stuff for some of the divas actually. I'd love to write for Mariah, but we'll see how it goes," Jesse said.
