Spanning more than 40 years of career in music, Grammy-award winning singer Van Morrison returns to simplicity in his 33rd album, to be aptly named "Keep It Simple". For this effort, the 62-year-old has sought spiritual core in the past five years, which result will be showcased on the album that is due April 1.

On choosing the title to his new effort, Morrison explained, "It's just a song about how everything's gotten now so complex and how things have become so complicated and nothing's easy to do anymore." He elaborated further, taking example of the title track. He said, "So the song's a kind of prayer - or what have you - let's hope we can get back to something simple, otherwise, we're screwed."

The Lost Highway release opens with the track "That's Entrainment" which Morrison explained as "when you connect with the music". Other songs included in the set are the harmonica-laced "How Can a Poor Boy" and the organ-drenched slow-burner "Don't Go to Nightclubs Anymore". "Keep It Simple" on Amazon.

Staring from March 11, Morrison has embarked on a supporting tour in North America, including the stop at SxSW on March 12. Next week, he will be back in England to begin the European leg that stretches through June 22. Complete tour dates can be found on Van Morrison.co.uk.
