Included on People's list of the Sexiest Men Alive of 2007 has led Patrick Dempsey to score a deal to be the new face of fashion house Versace's 2008 men's spring/summer line. And both achievements now earn him another title that is "Star of the Year."

The movie hunk, who's best known for his portrayal as Dr. Derek Shepherd on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy", was named People Magazine's Star of the Year on Thursday, December 20 after a stellar year, off and on screen.

With his being labeled Star of the Year, Dempsey thus is featured on the cover of the celebrity magazine's year-end issue that focuses on the best and the worst of the year.

"I'm just enjoying life more than I ever have ... I'm trying to enjoy the moment while it's here and to be able to provide for my family so that I can step away and enjoy raising them away from all this," Dempsey told People on the media coverage he created during the year 2007 which among others include, his hit TV show, box office smash "Enchanted" and the birth of twin boys to his second wife.
