If Kenny Chesney decides to grab LeAnn Rimes' hands, Keith Urban makes a pact with the up and about country sweetheart, Carrie Underwood. The two arguably biggest country icons today are teaming up for a joint tour.

Just like Chesney who praised his touring partner Urban also said, "I'm looking forward to hitting the road with Carrie, and to bringing our audiences together for what I think will be a magical night of sights, sounds, songs and solos."

In return, Undewood said, "I can't think of a better person to begin 2008 with than Keith. He is an amazing entertainer and a well-respected musician, singer and songwriter."

Interestingly enough, the jaunt will be dubbed 'Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride Tour', a combination of both artists' respective albums which they will promote in this tour.

Urban's 'Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing' was released in November last year while Underwood's 'Carnival Ride' has just been released last month. Urban will release 'Greatest Hits: 18 Kids' on November 20 this year.

For the 24 dates tour, the trek will start January 31 in a city to be announced. Tickets will go on sale December 1.

Both singers have been nominated at 2007 Country Music Association Awards but only Underwood claimed her victory which is determined by poll.
