Seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger headed to MTV is something extraordinary. But yes the California Governor did it. The former actor made an appearance on MTV show "Pimp My Ride" Sunday April 22nd, making his car "environmentally hip."

Appeared on a special Earth Day episode of the popular show "Pimp My Ride," Arnold brought his 1965 Chevy Impala in for some earth-friendly upgrades. The Impala gets an 800 horsepower diesel engine that will run on biodiesel, turning it into one extraordinary clean machine. The upgrades to his Impala impressed Arnold that he asked the crew to do a similar modification to one of his Hummers.

"I am pleased that the power of MTV's message will reach an audience throughout California and the nation to reinforce the benefits of alternative-fuel vehicles and protecting our environment," the Governor said in a statement.

The special episode will air as part of the thinkMTV year long, 12-step campaign "Break The Addiction" engaging, empowering, and educating millions of young people to make smart, everyday choices that both improve their life and help curb the impact of climate change and preserve the environment.

The "Earth Day" episode of "Pimp My Ride," airing Sunday April 22nd at 1 pm ET/PT, will be rerun on MTV on Wednesday, April 25th at 5:00 pm EST, Thursday April 26th at 9:00 PM (the usual time for new 'Pimp My Ride' episodes) and Friday April 27th at 9:30 PM EST.
