Turns out the dragon has made its way to fly high overseas, too. Already made a satisfying debut as the runner-up on weekend domestic box office, youth-slanted fantasy adventure "Eragon" now proudly claims the top spot of weekend foreign box office of the same period for sure.

Selling $30.1 million worth of tickets in 76 territories, the flick thereby ends the four-week reign of "Casino Royale" which has to go down slightly to number two after taking up a handful of $20.7 million from 64 markets. However, the amount appears to be more than enough to finally break the $271 million Bond film record set by "Die Another Day" as this latest installment of 007 series has garnered $280 million internationally in its total.

Third rank goes to Sony Pictures' "The Holiday" which successfully pulls $14 million from 28 territories to raise its ten-day tally to $28.5 million followed behind by animated penguin romp "Happy Feet" then DreamWorks' "Flushed Away" to round out the big five of the list with the former scoring $13 million in 39 markets and the latter $8.7 million in 37 territories.
