PinkPantheress

Not many British songstresses can make it big in the music industry, but PinkPantheress is not one of them. Born Vicky Beverly Walker, the 21-year-old successfully claimed her first Global 200 Top 10 thanks to her new single "Boy's a Liar, Pt. 2".

The Ice Spice-assisted track first debuted at No. 54 on the Billboard Global 200, but it soared high to No.15 before reaching No. 4 dated February 25. Meanwhile, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it landed at No. 14.

With the remix, both the English musician and her collaborator also earned their first No. 1 hit on U.S. Spotify. The tune itself was taken from PinkPantheress' original solo "Boy's a Liar" which was dropped back in November 2022.

As for the latter track, it placed No. 38 on the Mediabase weekly chart. "Boy's a Liar" additionally landed at No. 2 on the midweek U.K. chart, trailing behind Miley Cyrus' "Flowers".

PinkPantheress once opened up about how she ended up working with Ice Spice for "Boy's a Liar, Pt. 2". When sitting down with NME, she shared, "I saw that [Ice Spice] followed me because I was on Instagram, and I never go on Instagram... I thought it was cool because I didn't think she even knew who I was."

"I popped in [the DMs] and said, 'Whenever you're in the U.K., I'd love to meet,' " she recalled. "I think she's really cool, above the music and everything. She said she was a fan [of mine], and I was like, 'OK, amazing.' "

"When it comes to collaborations, I'm quite picky: I always want someone who can match me well on a track. Even though Ice Spice does drill, her flows are super unique and the beats she chooses are different," PinkPantheress elaborated further. "A lot of people would struggle with the beats I choose, but I knew she'd be good for it."
