Krypton is an upcoming American television series based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The series is a prequel to the 2013 film Man of Steel, and follows the adventures of Superman's grandfather, Seg-El, on the planet Krypton years before its destruction. The series stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, and is set to premiere on Syfy in 2018.
In the teaser trailer for the series, we see Seg-El as a young man living on Krypton. He is shown to be a skilled fighter and a loyal friend, but he is also troubled by the growing unrest on his planet. As the trailer progresses, we see Seg-El come into contact with a mysterious woman named Lyta Zod (Georgina Campbell), who tells him that he is the key to saving Krypton from destruction.
