In the Fade is a German drama film directed by Fatih Akin. The film premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, where Diane Kruger won the Best Actress award. It was released in Germany in September 2017. The film follows Katja, a German woman whose husband and son are killed in a bomb attack.
