Despicable Me 3 is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Illumination Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film is a sequel to Despicable Me (2010) and Despicable Me 2 (2013), and the third installment in the Despicable Me franchise. Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda directed the film, from a screenplay by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, Steve Coogan, and Russell Brand reprise their roles from previous films, with new additions to the cast including Trey Parker and Jenny Slate. The film follows Gru as he faces off against his twin brother, Dru, who is determined to take over the world.
