Rizzoli & Isles is an American crime drama television series that premiered on TNT in July 2010. The series is based on the Rizzoli & Isles book series by Tess Gerritsen. Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander star as Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles, respectively, a Boston police detective and medical examiner who work together to solve crimes. The series has been well-received by critics and audiences alike, and has been nominated for several awards, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series.
