**Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials** is the second installment in the Maze Runner film series, based on the novel of the same name by James Dashner. The film was directed by Wes Ball and stars Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Patricia Clarkson, and Aidan Gillen. The film follows Thomas and his fellow Gladers as they escape from the maze and into the Scorch, a vast and desolate wasteland controlled by WCKD.
