In 1922, Madrid is wavering on the edge of change as traditional values are challenged by the dangerous new influences of Jazz, Freud and the avant-garde. Salvador Dali arrives at the university; 18 years old and determined to become a great artist. His bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of two of the university's social elite - Federico Garcia Lorca and Luis Bunuel. Salvador is absorbed into their decadent group and for a time Salvador, Luis and Federico become a formidable trio, the most ultra-modern group in Madrid. However as time passes, Salvador feels an increasingly strong pull towards the charismatic Federico - who is himself oblivious of the attentions he is getting from his beautiful writer friend, Margarita. Finally, in the face of his friends' preoccupations - and Federico's growing renown as a poet - Luis sets off for Paris in search of his own artistic success. Federico and Salvador spend the holiday in the sea-side town of Cadaques. Both the idyllic surroundings and the warmth of the Dali family sweep Federico off his feet. Salvador and he draw closer, sharing their deepest beliefs, inspirations and secrets, convinced that they have found a kind of friendship undreamt of by others. It is more that a meeting of the minds; it is a fusion of souls. And then one night, in the phosphorescent water, it becomes something else.

posted by hilmi on Oct 22, 2009a movie about salvador dali! can't wait! and since when does the gender of the person youlove determine what calibur of person you are? good for robpat for branching out past movies based on books for preteens! (harry potter and twilight i love you both) and no he is NOT made for kristan stewart. just because your in a romantic role with somebody in a movie does NOT mean that you have to be in love. ever heard of acting? ---Caitlin the Miller

posted by OCD on Apr 14, 2009I think this will be amazing!! Personally i think I may be too you to see this movie but that doesnt mean its a bad movie. I'm only 14 so i dont really wanna c it yet!! I think it took a lot of guts for rob to do this and it takes great acting skills to pull off a part like this one!! Good job rob!!
posted by Jenna Pattinson on Apr 11, 2009I can`t wait to see it either and I disagree with the girl who complained about the gay scene. I think it takes a lot of nerve to make a gay scene in general and it`s really a big riske for robert, who`s just starting to become big, but what I mean is that I admire that he did that. It`s gonna be a gret film. I`m not sure about if his teen fans (actually they`re more like groupies, I would say) will like it but it`s great for R.P to decide to be in this film in spite of that. I think the girls should realy learn how to separate the character from the real person, and stop specting him to be as beatiful and brave and perfect as that Edward guy and DEFINATELY not to think he`s gay because of this, damn it!!!Once again, he did an amazing job nad I`m sure I`ll love this film.
