Finale Ratings: 'Smallville' Rises, 'CSI: NY' Falls Slightly
May 16, 2011 08:05:45"Smallville" rating has taken a huge leap for its finale. The two-hour episode aired on Friday, May 13 was watched by 2.97 million or up 49% from the last episode. It additionally soared 63% in the adults 18-49 demographic, posting a 1.3 rating.
Though it is not a season high, it marked the most-watched and highest-rated episode since last fall. In October 2010, The CW's sci-fi show drew in 3.2 million viewers with its 200th episode "Homecoming" in which Kristin Kreuk and Allison Mack returned as Lana and Chloe respectively.

May 14, 2011 12:05:16After ten seasons, "Smallville" finally bid farewell to its fans on Friday, May 13 with a two-hour finale. Clark and Lois' wedding was probably the most anticipated one, but the show had a tear-jerker moment when the twosome proclaimed their wedding vows.
"I, Clark Kent, take you, Lois Lane, to be my companion, forever," Clark reads his vow. "With you by my side I will never be alone. Though the world sees a strong and independent woman, I've never known someone with such gentle grace and more pure heart. When I've been lost you've always been there to bring me back, so on this day, at this moment, I pledge the rest of my life to you."

'Smallville' Two-Hour Finale Preview: Clark and Lex Learn Their Destiny

Mashing up footage from old episodes and the upcoming ones, the sneak peek features Clark saying, "I can be their hero." In another scene, Lionel tells Lex, "Time to become the Luthor you're destined to be."
In the two-hour finale, Michael Rosenbaum will return as Clark's arc nemesis, Lex. Sharing about what his character will do in the show, he said, "Hmmm...his plan of cloning spare parts worked, only there's a big twist." He added, "I also have a great scene with Clark that will launch them each into their destinies as adversaries."

When she and Clark visit the Fortress to get Jor-El's blessing for their marriage, Jor-El bestows a unique wedding gift on the couple. He gives Lois Clark's super powers so she can see what it's like to be him for a day.
Unfortunately, the Toyman has returned to Metropolis, so Lois must go up against the notorious villain instead of Clark. Meanwhile, Oliver searches for the Bow of Orion, which he believes will remove the Omega symbol from his skull, and runs into Kara, who is also on a mission to stop Darkseid. Chris Gautheir guest stars as the Toyman, and Laura Vandervoort returns as Kara aka Supergirl.

April 28, 2011 01:04:18"Propechy" will feature Laura Vandervoort who returns as Supergirl aka Kara. In the upcoming episode of "Smallville", the cousin of Clark Kent will join forces with Oliver Queen who is trying to find a way to remove the Omega symbol from his skull.
"Oliver is faced with this cold reality that he's not going to be able to get rid of this infection just by willing it away," the Oliver depicter, Justin Hartley, tells TV Guide. "He goes on this journey to try to get rid of it." The actor adds that along the way, Kara and Oliver will "find out things about each other," and "that everything isn't what it seems, that you can't judge a book by its cover."

'Smallville' Picture: First Look at Clark and Lois' Wedding
April 26, 2011 09:04:30Clark and Lois are going to make their union official on "Smallville". After some speculations whether or not the couple will be seen walking down the aisle before the long-running series wraps up, a photo from the series finale reveals the wedding will indeed be happening.
"It's a very, very long walk down that aisle," executive producer Kelly Souders gushes about the scene. "There are some good moments, some heart-wrenching moments and some surprising moments at their wedding."

'Smallville' Finale Teaser Looks Back to the Past

It sees montage of shots from the series' old episodes and ends with voice of Clark learning who he is destined to be. All of the scenes are set to legendary composer John Williams' classic score from the original 1978 Superman movie.
Michael Rosenbaum is set to return as villain Lex Luthor in the two-hour finale. Dishing on the character's return, executive producer Kelly Souders has said, "Having Lex come back is huge, and Lionel Luthor. It's really interesting; between Tess and Lionel and Lex it gets a little complicated, well that's probably not the right word, but it's certainly exciting."

Booster begins his campaign to take The Blur's place as the "World's Greatest Superhero" and tries to charm Lois into writing a story about him, but she's not having his antics and begins her own campaign for The Blur.

'Smallville' Debuts Promo for Final Episodes
April 08, 2011 04:04:36As it is getting closer to the end of "Smallville", The CW has released a promo for the final episodes. A short one, the video does not include any footage from the episodes but does hint that Clark will find out his true identity as he is heard saying, "I finally know who I am."
Used in the video is John Williams' classic score from the original 1978 Superman movie. Also, the promo features the word "believe" which is likely taken from the famous Superman movie tagline, "You will believe a man can fly."

'Smallville' & 'Supernatural' Promos: Someone's Died
March 05, 2011 03:03:05April 15 episode of "Smallville" will be the end of the beginning when the TV series returns from their brief hiatus. Right after Lionel and Tess' battle for the Luthor name in "Scion", the Tom Welling-starring sci-fi will continue with "Kent" where a funeral is going to take place.
In the same night, "Supernatural" will air a new episode which will see someone hanged. As Sam and Dean were done with their search for The Mother of All's latest monster in "And Then There Were None", they will face a new challenge in "My Heart Will Go On".

'Smallville' and 'Supernatural' March 4 Episode Previews
February 26, 2011 11:02:15Before "Smallville" goes on a spring hiatus, it will introduce Super Boy who is none other than the combination of Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. Lucas Gabreel guest stars as Alexander Luthor who is now known as Conner Kent aka Kon-El aka Superboy. He possesses all the powers of Superman but he also has a dark side like Lex.
The synopsis for the episode called "Scion" reads: Lionel and Tess go head to head in a battle for the Luthor name. Clark and Lois are stunned by Tess' latest present to them. Superboy may wreck a havoc in the episode but it looks like he won't do too many damage. After all, the producers said previously that "there [will] be no doubt about how Lex becomes the great rival in Clark Kent's life. He is the villain of the story."

After Zatanna sends a magically spiked bottle of champagne to Clark and Lois for their bachelor/bachlorette parties, the gang blacks out after the toast, only to wake up the next morning and realize they can't remember anything about the night before.
While trying to retrace their steps, Lois realizes she lost her engagement ring and drags Oliver back to the Fortune Casino where she thinks she lost it... The two run into Fortune (guest star James Kidnie), the eccentric casino owner, who accuses them of stealing money from him. Meanwhile, Clark tells Chloe he has a memory of stealing an armored truck the night before.

After an ongoing case of "Is he or is he not?", Michael Rosenbaum has confirmed that he is set to reprise his role as villain Lex Luthor before the show ends. Saved for the last, Lex will face off Clark in the two-hour season finale airing May 13.
"I'm delighted to return for the series finale. I'm simply doing it for all of the fans out there who made Smallville the great success it is. I appreciate all of their passion, their relentlessness, and even their threats. Ha ha," Rosenbaum told TV Line just one day after it was reported that he had rejected the idea.

New 'Smallville' Poster Teases Superman Costume
January 05, 2011 11:01:19Fans of "Smallville" are yet to see Clark Kent becoming the man he is supposed to be but the new teaser poster allows them to picture him in the red and blue costume. The image, tagged with "Destiny Is Now", shows Clark in street clothes but the reflection on his feet reveals his future.
Back on last year's San Diego Comic Con, Tom Welling told The Flickcast that Clark is indeed stepping up as Superman. "Yeah, that's the plan. I don't know how they're going to do it, but I know that inevitably, that's where we get to." He added, "[The Superman costume] looks good. I wasn't there when they shot it on set. I was actually on another stage shooting something else. But I know what it looks like."

Preview of 'Smallville' and 'Supernatural' First 2011 Episode
December 11, 2010 11:12:30When "Smallville" returns to screen in 2011, fans will be able to see some familiar faces such as Lionel Luthor, Chloe Sullivan and Martha Kent. While Lionel had appeared in an episode earlier this season, this would mark the big return of Allison Mack who quit the show in May, as well as Annett O'Toole's.
"Collateral" kicks off the last 11 episodes of Clark Kent's story before he is recognized as Superman. At the 2010 San Diego Comic Con, it was mentioned that Mack would be back in at least 5 episodes. Meanwhile, Lionel had said previously that he wanted to see how this ends, sparking speculation that he's going to appear in the finale.

'Smallville' 10.10 Preview Presents Clark Luthor
November 20, 2010 11:11:25"Smallville" may not be able to convince Michael Rosenbaum to return yet but it has a way to bring back Lex Luthor's presence. In the December 3 episode, Tess acquires a Kryptonian box that once belonged to Lionel Luthor. When Clark accidentally activates the box, he's transported to a parallel universe where Lionel found Clark in the cornfields instead of the Kents.
In this universe, Clark Luthor is a murderer and Lois is engaged to Oliver and both of them hate Clark. Clark must be careful not to tip off Lionel that he's not his son while trying to figure out how to get back to Earth where the monster Clark Luthor was transported in his place.

Preview: 'Smallville' Welcomes Back Aquaman

In an effort to protect the rest of the team, Oliver decides to register for the Vigilante Registration Act to see what the government plans to do with the new law. As he suspected, it was a trap to lure superheroes to an undisclosed location where he is confined to a jail and subjected to a battery of brutal tests under the supervision of Col. Slade (guest star Michael Hogan).
Aquaman (guest star Alan Ritchson) and his new wife Mera (guest star Elena Satine) team up with Clark to free Oliver. Lois is frustrated when Clark continues to push aside her offers to help the team and sets out to prove she can play with the big boys.
