Kadee Strickland Had Traumatic Research for 'Private Practice' Rape Scene
November 06, 2010 12:11:26"Private Practice" star Kadee Strickland worked with rape victims to ensure her character's upcoming sexual assault storyline is as true to life as possible. The star plays Dr. Charlotte King in the hit U.S. drama and threw herself into research for the character's recent rape scene by working with America's Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network to ensure she did not underplay the devastating effects of a sex attack.
And she hopes her respectful portrayal will give victims the courage to come forward and receive counseling to try and overcome an assault. Strickland tells Fox News, "The thing I've learned from my work with survivors is that they want this (episode). The only way people can confront their feelings is to see that there are more outlets for their stories being told."

'Private Practice' Gives First Look at the Wedding
September 06, 2010 11:09:14The wedding of "Private Practice" that Shonda Rhimes has announced won't be without its drama. In the first look of the September 23 episode which EW has offered, Violet is literally a runaway bride. However, in another pic, the bride and groom happily kiss each other during the nuptials.
Tim Daly who plays Pete says he can't guarantee that happiness is forever for Pete and Violet because it's Shonda Rhimes' show. "Happiness is fleeting on her shows. If [the wedded bliss] makes it four episodes, it'll be amazing," he said. Daly also revealed how the couple, who has a son together, came to the decision of getting married. "It comes out of some intense sex. Violet's really floating his boat, and Pete's like, 'Will you marry me?'," Daly opened up.

'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice' Weddings En Route

Shonda Rhimes, creator to both series, confirmed that back-to-back nuptials will happen on September 23 aka the season premieres. "We're going to have a night of weddings," she said.
However, Rhimes refused to spill which couple would walk down the altar on "Grey's". The closest possibility would be longtime-couple Derek and Meredith who had an unusual post-it 'wedding vows' in season 5. But it may also be Arizona and Callie who at the end of last season decided to get back together and have kids.

First On-Set Photo of 'Private Practice' Season 3
July 21, 2009 01:07:48Producer and creator Shonda Rhimes has updated her Twitter account with a new pic taken from the set of "Private Practice". The shooting for third season has begun and Shonda took a picture of Taye Diggs standing in front of his character's office.
"First day shooting at PP!!! Here's I know season's really begun: I'll spend my days running back and forth between the two shows/studios," Shonda tweeted on Monday, July 20. Few days earlier, shooting for "Grey's Anatomy" has also been kicked off and Shonda posted an on-set pic that captures Sara Ramirez in uniform.
