Up All Night Episode 2.03 Swingers

In the midst of their nightly dinner-and-Real-Housewives routine, Chris and Reagan's cable goes out. After an unsuccessful repair attempt, Chris and Reagan surrender to fate and decide to have a TV-free dinner at the dining room table. To their surprise, they soon discover that they have absolutely nothing to talk about.

While attending a food-free champagne lunch at Ava's house, Chris, Reagan and Scott learn that Ava has an entire extra bedroom full of random junk. Scott convinces Ava to sell some of her old stuff. At first, Ava is reluctant to part with anything, but eventually she agrees and decides to have a yard sale.

Later that night, Reagan attempts to stimulate dinner conversation with Chris by secretly preparing some talking points in advance. Chris quickly discovers Reagan's scheme, and the two decide that they need to be more spontaneous. They head out into the backyard for a frisky make-out session, but Chris gets freaked out when the neighbors come outside. Maybe the Brinkleys aren't as adventurous as they thought.

The next day, Chris surprises Reagan by signing them up for couples trapeze lessons, so that Reagan can live out her childhood dream of being on "Circus of the Stars." The plan reinvigorates them, and they finally start to feel cool and spontaneous again.

During her yard sale, Ava meets Linda, a loyal Ava Show fan. Ava is so flattered that she gives Linda all of her old Ava Show swag, including the mug she was drinking out of when the Ava Show got picked up. Afterwards, Scott tells Ava that she should keep some of her sentimental items to remind her of where she's been. Ava realizes her mistake and decides that she needs to get her mug back from Linda.

Meanwhile, Chris and Reagan arrive at the trapeze center. Reagan is excited, but Chris is a little nervous about it. Chris gets uneasy when he has to sign the insurance waiver, but Reagan is overwhelmed with excitement because her childhood dream is coming true.

Scott and Ava head to Linda's work to get Ava's mug back, but Linda is reluctant to part with her newfound treasure. Ava tries her best to convince Linda that she should give it back, and when that doesn't work, she tries to steal it from Linda's grasp. Unfortunately, all of her attempts are unsuccessful. Ava and Scott retreat to Scott's truck to formulate a new plan.

Meanwhile, Reagan and Chris climb up the trapeze tower and prepare to swing, but Reagan's nerves get the best of her at the very last second. This might not be as easy as she thought. Chris and Reagan feign excitement for a while before they both agree that neither of them wants to do this. Just then, Chris decides to go for it.

In the parking lot of Linda's work, Scott is busy devising elaborate schemes to get Ava's mug back. Ava, however, decides that she doesn't want the mug back. If Linda wants the mug that badly, she must need it more than Ava does. Instead, Ava decides to get a new custom mug made at Linda's store, featuring a photo of Ava holding her old mug. Now she has a new favorite mug!

After working up his courage, Chris dives heroically off of the trapeze tower. He swings on the trapeze for a bit, and then desperately hangs until he falls into the safety net. It's a miserable try, but at least he did it. Reagan is lowered down in a harness and they lay in the trapeze net, satisfied that they were brave enough to take a risk.

That night, Reagan and Chris test the backyard to see if the neighbors can hear them fooling around on the lawn chairs. After Reagan imitates some moaning noises, Chris peeks his head over the fence to the neighbors' yard and declares the backyard safe for lovemaking!
