Bob showed up to greet his husbands and wives and found them all wearing green bandanas in honor of Adam and Stacey. Bob had to remind his teams that every week, somebody goes home and it will be hard.

Michelle began to get emotional in the kitchen and Jillian wanted to get to the bottom of it. She ordered everybody to the gym and sat down with Michelle. Michelle shared her feelings about how hard it was to be on a team with the mother who abandoned her years ago. Jillian tried to get Michelle to see her mom's point of view.

As Bob was training his teams, he kept glancing at Jillian's side of the gym. He was so tired of the yellow line dividing both gyms, he pulled the yellow tape off the floor to make the two gyms into a giant one.

Ali summoned everyone to the living room, where they found designated ping-pong paddles for each team. Once the teams sat down, Ali told them about the dreaded two-week plateau when it came to weight loss. The average percentage of week two weight loss for teams in previous seasons had been only 2%.

Ali told the teams that whoever bid on the highest percentage of weight loss they planned to lose would also get $10,000. But, if the team who vowed to lose the highest percentage didn't meet their goal, they would automatically be up for elimination. Coleen and Jerry outbid everybody else and vowed to lose 2.4% of their total weight, which added up to more than 13 pounds at the weigh in.

When the yellow team told Jillian that they had to lose 14 pounds to stay in the game, she was not happy. She pointed out that no price should have been worth the possibility of elimination. Jerry and Coleen were sure they could make their goal in time for the weigh in.The week's challenge had the players sliding down a giant slip-n-slide and then climbing back up the hill to the beginning in time to beat the two-minute buzzer. Whoever didn't make the two-minute mark was eliminated from the game. The winner of the challenge won a phone call home, something that was really desired by all the players.

The challenge came down to Ed and Shellay as the last two remaining contestants. Ed ended up beating Shellay, but Amy was proud of her mother for getting as far as she did. Ali told Ed and Heba that not only did they get a phone call home; they got to choose one other team to get the same privilege.

Ed and Heba decided to let the red team get a phone call home. This caused Phil to break down in tears and give Ed a giant hug. Amy and Phil couldn't wait to call their kids and hear their voices. Meanwhile, Ed gave his minutes up to Heba so she could get a longer conversation with her father. This was something she was very thankful for because she was feeling so homesick.

As the teams were hanging out in the kitchen, celebrity chef Rocco showed up. He told the contestants he wanted them to learn how to cook delicious, healthy and inexpensive meals. He separated the teams by having the better cook stand up and go to the kitchen. Then he told the remaining contestants that they would be the ones cooking.

Rocco took the players that would be cooking on a field trip to the grocery store. Once there, he told them what meals they would be preparing for their teammates. At the end of cooking their meal, there would be a blind taste test for the other contestants to decide who was the best cook. The winner would receive a year's supply of groceries.

Once the meals were all prepared, the other halves of the teams were brought in for their blind taste test and to decide which meal was the best. The winning meal was Amy from the purple team, who made the tiny meatball and chickpea soup. Shellay was so proud of her daughter and her meal.

During the last-chance workout, Jillian was targeting Jerry and Coleen. She knew they had to lose more than 13 pounds to stay above the yellow line. Jerry was beginning to feel the pressure of having to lose a certain amount of weight.

It was time for the weigh in and the brown team was the first to get on the scale. Vicky and Brady had lost 2.04%. All of the teams were beginning to feel nervous about pulling low numbers during the second week.

The grey team weighed in and everybody was shocked by what they saw. LT had gained three pounds for the week, while his father had lost only three pounds. Ali wanted to know what went wrong, but LT couldn't explain it and defended himself, saying he worked his tail off all week long. Tom said he was still proud of his son.

The gray team had fallen below the yellow line and now it was time for Coleen and Jerry to weigh in and see if they made their goal. Jillian was shocked to see that they'd lost 11 pounds, which automatically moved them below the yellow line. Coleen assured her father she wasn't disappointed and this brought Jerry to tears.

Now the rest of the teams had one hour to decide who would be eliminated, the yellow team or the gray team. It was a difficult decision they did not want to make, but had to.

The teams huddled together to discuss which team they would eliminate. Most of them feared that if they let LT and Tom stay, LT would pull a huge number the following week. Meanwhile, Brady and Phil were arguing about who should be eliminated. Phil immediately thought Brady needed to adjust his attitude and calm his temper.

After the hour passed, the teams had to go back to the elimination room with their votes. Ali informed them that the first team to reach three votes would be forced to leave campus.

LT and Tom received three votes and were eliminated. LT vowed that he and his father would be the at-home winners and couldn't wait to see everybody at the finale.
