The players get worried when Ali tells them that the person with the lowest percentage of weight loss at this week's weigh-in will automatically be eliminated. She has a temptation challenge for them. The players see a pile of cupcakes. In one of the cupcakes is a one-pound advantage coupon that has the ability to grow a pound each week.
In the end, it's Adam who wins the challenge by finding the one-pound coupon. He's happy to know that every week he holds onto the coupon, the pound advantage increases by one. Ali tells Adam that he consumed 1,350 calories for this one challenge.
The players head to the kitchen to meet Curtis Stone, who teaches them how to cook desserts the healthy way. The players are shocked with how easy it seems to bake a 100-calorie cupcake.
Bob and Jillian check in on the players to find out about their cupcake challenge. When they learn that Adam won the challenge, they're shocked that he consumed over 1,300 calories in order to win. Bob admits you do what you have to do in order to win, and they can't blame Adam for playing the game.
The players are surprised that Bob and Jillian didn't get angrier over Adam's cupcake confession. Instead, the trainers take the players to the gym and work them out, while reminding them about the red line of elimination looming over their heads.
It's time for the weigh-in and Ali wants to know what Adam's going to do with his one-pound advantage. Adam tells Ali that he's going to hold onto the advantage and see if he needs it next week when it's a two-pound advantage. Jillian understands Adam's motive, but Bob still has a hard time believing the cupcake challenge was worth it.
The weigh-in continues. Lisa isn't happy with her seven-pound weight loss. Bob tells her that she needs to learn to be happy with her progress instead of complaining that it's never good enough.
Jillian has the same speech for Jesse. He's not too pleased with his eight-pound weight loss, but Jillian tells him to be happy with his progress. After all, other players are happy with their weight loss results and theirs are lower than his. Jesse's still beating himself up over the cupcake challenge.
Frado gets on the scale and shocks everybody with his 20-pound weight loss. He believes all his hard work finally paid off this week. Frado gives Bob credit for pushing him to his limits in the gym. Frado lost a total of of his body weight this week.
Sophia goes on the scale and is shocked to see she's only lost two pounds. She starts to sob because after all of her hard work; she didn't expect such a low number. The other players are just as sorry for Sophia, since she's fallen below the red line and automatically eliminated.
Mark feels his injury might have sidelined him this week, but doesn't want this week's weight-loss winner Frado to save him from elimination. Mark tells Frado he's healthy enough to do the challenge, just like everybody else.
During the weigh-in, Ada makes the mistake of telling Jillian she still doesn't feel she's had an emotional breakthrough. Jillian sees this as Ada's way of asking for harder workouts, so that's exactly what Jillian's going to give her. Meanwhile, Bob invites the rest of the players to visit him at his house and makes them lunch.
The players get ready to participate in the elimination challenge. Burgandy is automatically below the yellow line, since she can't participate due to an injury. Frado decides to save Jessica from elimination this week. The players have to roll out 900 feet of carpet and run back. The last player to finish will join Burgandy.
Elizabeth comes in last in the elimination challenge. Now the players have to choose whether to eliminate her or Burgandy. The players decide to eliminate Burgandy, who vows she'll go home and continue her weight loss journey.
