While the 'Euphoria' star is unrecognizable with her new dark hair that she pairs with her powder blue gown, the 'Wicked' actress looks ethereal in mother of pearl gown.

AceShowbiz - Sydney Sweeney switched up her look for the 2024 Met Gala. The "Euphoria" actress was barely recognizable as she traded her signature long blonde hair for a dark bob while making an appearance at the Monday, May 6 event.

Joining her co-star Zendaya Coleman, who served as a co-chair of the fundraiser, the 26-year-old showed up in a breathtaking one-shoulder, light blue tulle gown from Miu Miu that flowed down into a full skirt to brush the ground.

Blue, floral details with black stems were embroidered onto the bodice as well as the upper skirt portion to follow this year's dress code, "The Garden of Time". Channeling a Gothic princess, she added a pair of black leather, opera-length gloves.

Sydney accessorized the outfit with a pair of dainty earrings as well as a glittering, silver necklace from De Beers jewelry. Before arriving to the event, she was seen at The Carlyle Hotel where she added a sheer, black veil on top of her head that contained rhinestone details for a more dramatic vibe.

Also looking ethereal on the red carpet of the event, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, was Ariana Grande. Seemingly channeling her character in upcoming movie "Wicked", she shimmered in a mother of pearl corseted gown with a flowing skirt.

The 30-year-old singer/actress' gown featured contrasting pastel shades and was accentuated with butterfly eye make-up. Her long blonde hair was swept into a sleek ponytails as she attended the event solo without her boyfriend Ethan Slater.

Ariana, however, was joined by her co-star Cynthia Erivo when posing on the red carpet. The latter contrasted the former's look in a cropped blazer jacket featuring 80s-inspired padded shoulders and a delightful array of bejewelled ladybugs. The jacket was adorned with pink petals, sequins and a grasshopper to adhere to the dress code.

The matching skirt featured a train and she added a quirky touch with a pair of shiny black platform boots. To complete her look, she wore Roberto Coin and Wembe jewellery and a Jennifer Behr dragonfly headpiece.
