The ‘Dancing with a Stranger’ songstress garners mixed responses from social media users after letting them listen to a snippet of the new track during a livestream.

AceShowbiz - Normani Kordei has teased one of her new songs from her debut solo album. Before releasing "Dopamine", the "Dancing with a Stranger" songstress, who left Fifth Harmony years ago, shared a snippet of "Big Boi".

The 27-year-old singer/dancer let social media users listen to a snippet of the song during a recent Instagram Live. In a clip from the livestream that made its rounds online on Thursday, April 11, she could be seen talking to her fans before playing the snippet from her smartphone.

In the recording, Normani could be heard singing, "Now they caught up on it, I don't really blame 'em/ 'Cause that a** on a bad b***h is fat as a b***h/ Bling-bling-blow, he like, 'What's that on your wrist?'/ Bling-bling-blow, this all them platinum hits/ Bling-bling-blow, this all that Billboard s**t/ This that Big Boi, used to bump that Andre in that Big Boi."

After the footage from the livestream circulated on social media, Normani received mixed responses from her listeners. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, one in particular gushed, "This is what the f**k I'm talking about! Normani is about to EAT SO GOOD!"

Another noted, "Love that Mani has a song bragging about her accomplishments a bit. This is a woman with 2 top 10 (multiplatinum!) and 4 top 40 HOT 100 hits with NO album or EP out! mind you one of those has over a billion streams on Spotify, and another has over 900 million AND tied a BB record."

In contrast, a third appeared to have disliked what they heard from the snippet by writing, "We waited years for...that? oh girl keep it atp." A fourth added, "I'm so over her rn, so much anticipation has been made and something tells me her time has passed already. her album will not put up the numbers it would've put up years ago when the spot light was on her."

The snippet was shared more than one month after Normani broke the news about her first-ever solo album. In February, she announced that she will be dropping "Dopamine" and uploaded its cover art. However, she has not revealed the release date of the record.
