The 'Dance the Night' songstress unleashes her new single and its accompanying visuals, in which she is documented being pulled up from the water into the air.

AceShowbiz - Dua Lipa has released a new single titled "Illusion" and its accompanying music video. Less than one month before unleashing her album "Radical Optimism", the "Dance the Night" songstress launched one of the songs from the upcoming record.
On Thursday, April 11, the 28-year-old songstress' latest single became available on various music streaming platforms. On the song, she sings, "I been known to miss a red flag/ I been known to put my lover on a pedestal/ In the end, those things just don't last/ And it's time I take my rose-coloured glasses off."
Dua continues, "I already know your type, tellin' me the things I like (Mm)/ Tryna make me yours for life, takin' me for a ride (Mm)/ I already know your type, think you playin' your cards right (Mm)/ Don't you know I could do this dance all night?" She adds, "Ooh, what you doin'?/ Don't know who you think that you're confusin'/ I be like, ooh, it's amusin'/ You think I'm gonna fall for an illusion."
That same day, the "New Rules" hitmaker also dropped its accompanying music video. In the beginning of the clip, it can be seen that she is standing near a diving board that is placed very high at a swimming pool overlooking a breathtaking view of a city. She is joined by a number of backup dancers, who look in sync in their white sleeveless tops and black shorts.
Another scene from the MV sees Dua lying down on a circular platform, which is placed in the water. She is dipping her body and showing off her skills in dancing while being surrounded by several swimmers, who are swimming around her. At one point, she is being pulled up from the water into the air.
After releasing the single and its visuals, Dua received positive online responses from her listeners. One in particular gushed, "Tame Impala production, Kylie Minogue reference, iconic looks and amazing hair. Dua is a pop legend." Similarly, another joined in, "She's outdone herself this time, what an epic performance all round." A third added, "One of my favorite modern artists. Another banger from the brilliant Dua."
