AceShowbiz - Camila Cabello has opened up about her difficulties in maintaining long-term relationships. The singer admits that after the "year-and-a-half mark," she tends to lose interest. She attributes this to the numerous fascinating people in her industry.
"It's also hard in my industry because there are so many interesting people," she said, admitting to have "the wandering eye."
Cabello has been single since briefly rekindling her romance with Shawn Mendes last year. She has considered online dating but is unsure if she is "too picky." She emphasizes that she is not interested in hook-up culture and prioritizes personality and connection in a partner.
"If I don't like you, if I don't get butterflies, it can't just be a physical thing for me,' she said of what she looks for in a partner. 'I need to think you're funny, it has to be a personality thing. It can't just be like, 'I wanna make out, so I'll make out with you to make out."
Previously, Cabello dated author Matthew Hussey for over a year before their split in 2019. She recently sparked romance rumors with rapper Drake after they were spotted together in the Caribbean.
In an interview, Cabello discussed her reconciliation with Mendes and subsequent realization that they were not compatible. "I'm kind of impulsive in that way," she said, calling their reunion "a fun time." Despite a brief moment of reconciliation, she expressed her belief in moving on as friends.
Cabello also spoke about her "friends trip" with Drake to Turks and Caicos. She revealed that she met with Drake to share her new album with him and described their encounter as a "surreal moment." While she declined to confirm a romantic relationship, she expressed her admiration for Drake.
"You know what, I love that man. I love him. We all love him," she said while dodging the question about their alleged hookup, "[Have I ever had a] beautiful artistic collaboration with him? I may or may not have."
