The '212' rapper insists the 'Juice' star only has herself to blame for the constant criticisms she's facing on social media, telling her to 'change the narrative' instead of quitting.

AceShowbiz - In response to Lizzo's announcement that she was quitting the music industry due to relentless criticism about her appearance, rapper Azealia Banks has offered a blunt critique.

Lizzo, 35, revealed on Friday, March 29 that she had decided to walk away from fame after growing weary of being "tired of getting dragged by everyone" and facing constant criticism for her looks.

However, Banks, 32, has urged Lizzo to "stop playing the victim" and instead focus on her music. In a direct message to the "Juice" hitmaker, Banks stated, "Self-deprecation was certainly the aesthetic you chose to introduce yourself with... You've definitely given the public license to laugh at and with you by twerking at the Burger King counter and bathing in a tub of skittles."

Banks emphasized that Lizzo's social media presence has led to a public perception of her as a figure to be mocked. She encouraged Lizzo to "change the narrative" and collaborate with renowned artists.

Meanwhile, in her announcement, Lizzo wrote, "All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it. I'm constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views... being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look."

Lizzo expressed her frustration with the constant scrutiny and disrespect she has faced and declared her decision to quit. Banks has responded by challenging her to embrace a different approach and use her platform for more meaningful pursuits.
