Ashley Cain Introduces Newborn Son More Than Two Years After Daughter's Death

Ashley shares the baby boy with a longtime female friend he had been seeing romantically and he confirmed that he was expecting a child in December 2023.

AceShowbiz - Ashley Cain has welcomed a new bundle of joy in his family. More than two years after he lost his daughter Azaylia, "The Challenge" alum introduced his newborn son to the world.

Making use of Instagram, the 33-year-old shared a photo of the infant wrapped up in a white onesie and a beanie. Aliyas Diamond Cain - 16.01.24, 4:32am, 9lbs 3oz," he began the caption of the post.

"I will love you, appreciate you, guide you and protect you with all of my heart, for the rest of my life," he added. "& you will have the most beautiful guardian angel heaven holds watching over you and protecting you too."

The retired soccer star went on to note, Welcome to the world my son." He then noted, "May your body be strong, your mind be wise, your heart be loving and your spirit be pure and truly powerful."

When confirming that he was expecting a child in December 2023, he penned on Instagram, "My journey now is about navigating how to be the best daddy to my daughter in Heaven whilst also trying to be the best father to my son on Earth."

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Sun, Ashley opened up about the journey to baby No. 2 after navigating loss. "I believe after having Azaylia that I was put on this earth to be a father," he said. "And then the thought of potentially having another child after losing one was very difficult to understand for me."

Ashley's daughter Azaylia, whom he shared with his then-girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee, died at the age of 8 months following a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. A few days ahead of the first anniversary of the death of their baby girl, Ashley confirmed that he had broken up with Safiyya.

"After a devastating and heartbreaking year, Safiyya and I decided to separate a few months ago," he wrote on Instagram Story. "This was an incredibly tough decision which we needed to keep to ourselves for some time to give us the opportunity to figure out our own journey privately."
