In a new interview, Alan Hamel claims 'very strange' things have happened at the house he shared with the late actress, including the time he felt her ghost lying beside him.

AceShowbiz - Suzanne Somers' widower Alan Hamel feels her ghost lying beside him. Alan Hamel, 87, was left devastated when his "Three's Company" actress wife of nearly 50 years died at their Palm Springs, California, home on 16 October a day before her 77th birthday, while holding her husband's hand.

He has now told Page Six about ghostly happenings at the house they shared that has left him convinced there is an afterlife, "Three things happened. The same day, that were very strange. (First), a hummingbird flew into our house and made the rounds in the kitchen, and the living room and the dining room."

Alan said the bird "hovered" in front of a framed picture of lovebirds Alan and Suzanne kept in their breakfast area, and "landed on top and stayed there." He added about another incident that "the fireplace started all by itself" and "some music came on by Suzanne's favourite composer" who he has no one has "heard of." He added about when he is preparing to fall asleep, "I feel her laying beside me."

Alan has previously said Suzanne "fought until her last breath" to stay alive. He also told Page Six his late wife, who was a famous fan of holistic medicine, used every treatment available after her breast cancer returned last year.

Alan said, "We continued our search for the right thing to do at all times," and revealing Suzanne relied on "alternative, integrative and allopathic" treatments. He added, "It got to the point where cancer is very tricky. Just when you think everything is fine and you get an all clear, cancer does an end-run… cancer is ugly, it's an epidemic."
