The Dutch edition of Omid Scobie's new book accidentally reveals the identity of the senior royal family member who made a racist comment on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie.

AceShowbiz - Omid Scobie has responded to a major error in the Dutch edition of his latest book "Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival". The Dutch edition caused an uproar as it revealed the identity of the senior royal family member who made a racist comment on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie.

In response to the mishap, Omid insisted that he never named the said royal in his book. Speaking to Dutch chat show RTL Boulevard on Tuesday, November 28, he said, "The book is in several languages, and unfortunately I do not speak Dutch. But if there are translation errors, I'm sure the publishers will have it under control."

He further insisted, "I wrote and edited the English version. There's never been no version that I've produced that has names in it."

After the mistake was found out, the sales for the biography book were immediately halted. A spokesman for Xander Publishers told Daily Mail, "I can't talk about the details. We have, however, received a request to put the title on hold and that is what we have done."

When asked when the request was received, the spokesperson shared, "Just now. We are awaiting further instructions. I do not know how long this will be. You should speak to the U.S. agent."

The name was mentioned when Omid was talking about the private letters between Meghan and King Charles III where she allegedly named two people who talked about her son's skin color. "But in those private letters [the identity] was confirmed: ...," it read, with Daily Mail choosing to redact the name.

Previously, it was said that Charles and Queen Camila made remarks about Archie's "complexion" and "ginger Afro hair." However, sources later shut down the claims, noting that Camila wasn't the "racist" royal.

Meghan and Harry made the shocking allegations during their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that she was told her son would not have a royal title or be entitled to security.

When the host asked if it was because of his race, Meghan, who is biracial, confirmed that there were "several" conversations about Archie's skin. "About how dark your baby is going to be?" baffled Oprah asked, to which the former "Suits" star replied, "Potentially, and what that would mean or look like."

Harry further explained, "That was right at the beginning, when she wasn't going to get security, when members of my family were suggesting that she carries on acting, because there was not enough money to pay for her, all this sort of stuff."
