Rumors that the former NFL quarterback and the 'Legally Blonde' star are dating following their respective splits first emerged after gossip blogger Deuxmoi posted a blind item from an anonymous tipster.

AceShowbiz - Tom Brady and Reese Witherspoon are still very much single following their splits from their respective partners. In response to the speculations, their representative shut down rumors that the NFL quarterback and the Oscar winner are romantically involved.
The actress' rep told E! News that the rumors are completely false. A rep for the athlete also denied the speculations to PEOPLE. Additionally, a source revealed that Tom and Reese have not even met each other.
Rumors that Tom is dating Reese emerged after gossip blogger Deuxmoi posted a blind item from an anonymous tipster. The blind item revealed that an "A-list actress who JUST announced her divorce is newly dating A-list NFL athlete who is also recently divorced." It added that they're "epic and unexpected celeb couple."
Fans quickly assumed that the celebrities referred to in the tip were Tom and the "Legally Blonde" actress. "if tom brady is dating reese witherspoon, I would die. love that matchup," one fan wrote on Twitter. Someone else added, "Okay, Tommy Boy! Well played. I got confidence in this lasting."
"I can't explain why but Reese Witherspoon and Tom Brady somehow make sense to me?" another person said. One other opined, "I guess 'bend and snap' really works. I really need to start doing it whenever I see a handsome man."
The rumors arrived after Reese, who shares daughter Ava (23) and son Deacon (19) with ex Ryan Phillippe, and husband Jim Toth announced their split after 11 years of marriage in a since-deleted Instagram post on March 24. In a joint statement, the pair said that they are "moving forward with deep love" while focusing on their 10-year-old son Tennessee James. "We have some personal news to share... It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the statement read.
"We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together. Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time," it continued.
Meanwhile, Tom split from Gisele Bundchen last fall, allegedly due to his decision to un-retire from NFL. The now-retired athlete and the model share son Benjamin (13) and daughter Vivian (10). He also has son Jack (15) with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
