People are confused upon learning that Jada was laughing after her actor husband put his hand on the comedian who made fun of her shaved head at the 2022 Oscars.

AceShowbiz - A new video from Will Smith and Chris Rock's slapping incident at the 2022 Oscars has surfaced online. The said clip, however, left Internet users baffled as Jada Pinkett Smith was caught laughing after her husband put his hand on the comedian at the 2022 Academy Awards.

In the footage taken from behind the couple's table, Will was seen returning to his seat after smacking Chris in the face for making fun of Jada's shaved head. When the funnyman said, "Will Smith just smacked the s**t out of me," Jada burst into laughter. However, things got awkward after the "King Richard" actor shouted at the comic, "Keep my wife's name out of your f**king mouth."

Upon learning of the clip, one person said, "She laughed after Chris got slapped... it's funny now all of a sudden." Another asked in disbelief, "She laughed??!?" A third then chimed in, "Woah. Def didn't see that laughing side of her during all this. What a s**t show."

Not stopping there, a different user joined in by commenting, "He just made a fool out of himself and why is she still laughing?" Someone else wondered, "She laughs after he is slapped?? Seriously…"

Will has apologized to Chris following the incident. Chris himself has broken his silence on the ordeal. Performing for his first standup show since the Sunday, March 27 incident, he addressed the elephant in the room at The Wilbur in Boston.

According to Variety, Chris received a standing ovation and thunderous applause from the audience upon entering the stage. "Whoa, okay!" he said, showing up in an all-white outfit. "Yo, let me do the show!"

"What's up, Boston?" the comic asked the crowd, before he began making reference to the Oscars slap, "How was your weekend?!" He then told the audience that he didn't have much to say about the incident, since he's still "processing what happened."

"I don't have a bunch of s**t about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I'm still kind of processing what happened," he said, adding that he would eventually talk about it later, "So, at some point I'll talk about that s**t. And it will be serious and funny."
