AceShowbiz - Millie Bobby Brown's representatives have reacted to TikTok star Hunter Ecimovic's controversial comments about grooming the actress when she was underage. In a statement released on Wednesday, July 13, the reps for the "Stranger Things" star blasted Ecimovic and his "dishonest" claims.
"Mr. Ecimovic's remarks on social media are not only dishonest, but also are irresponsible, offensive and hateful," said the representatives in a statement to The Daily Beast. "Instead of engaging in a public discourse with him through the press or on social media, we are taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all."
Internet users also slammed Ecimovic over his comments as he made a series of crude comments about supposed sexual encounters with Brown.
In a video, the 21-year-old social media influencer claimed that he and Millie were dating when she was 16. According to a now-deleted tweet, it was said that the two met when she was 15 and they allegedly lived together for 8 months. Photos of them kissing also made their way out online with Ecimovic posting a video in which he detailed their alleged romantic relationship.
"You guys don't know anything. You guys are just following after one person saying one thing, like, everybody hates him so that everyone's going to hate me," he said in an Instagram Live. "You guys just follow each other like a big duck followed by little ducks. Whatever the top thing is, you just follow up."
Refusing to apologize, he went on to say, "You guys don't know the story of anything, and I will never apologize. I hope you know that." He added, "I have nothing to apologize for, so make that clear. I have zero things to apologize for. You guys do not know a single thing at all."
