The Barry Allen of the Arrowverse opens up on his struggle with mental health issues as he reveals his battle with anxiety since he was only five years old.

AceShowbiz - Grant Gustin has struggled with anxiety since the tender age of five.

The 30-year-old actor, most famous for his title role in U.S. TV show "The Flash", opened up about his mental health issues during an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum's "Inside of You" podcast.

Asked when his anxiety first started, Grant revealed he was "probably four or five," adding, "I knew I had always dealt with anxiety, but getting pinpointed ideas about where things started and why you were feeling that way. Anxiety is ever-present in my life, for sure."

Over the years, Grant has learned to deal with his anxiety, and credits therapy for helping him in more ways than one.

"I've come a long way with taking a little pressure off myself...," he said. "I've always been really hard on myself and I still am, but I put way too much pressure on myself early on and got in my way a lot and I think it shows, in my opinion at least, in the work, like how wound up I was and how focused I was on getting it right. It gets in your way for sure."
