The rapper's brother, Jelani Maraj, is accused of raping his 11-year-old step-daughter 'sometimes four times a week' over eight months in 2015 as well as beating step-son.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj is stepping up to help her brother. The Young Money femcee is set to defend her brother Jelani Maraj, 38, as he stands in a child rape trial in Nassau County.

Jelani is accused of raping his 11-year-old step-daughter "sometimes four times a week" over eight months in 2015, following his marriage with a woman named Jacqueline Robinson. However, according to Jelani's lawyers, David Schwartz, the accusations are nothing but an attempt to extort $25 million from his "world-famous sister."

David claims that Jacqueline told the "Bang Bang" rapstress, "I can make the charges go away for $25 million." The lawyer goes on accusing Jacqueline of being a "manipulative" and "devious" young woman. "Why would [Robinson] lie and force her children to lie? I can give you 25 million reasons why," he reportedly tells the jury.

In addition to child rape charges, Jelani, who pleaded not guilty over the accusation of predatory sexual assault on a child when police arrested him in December 2005, faces child abuse charges. The girl's brother alleges that he has been beaten by Jelani after witnessing his step-dad forcing his big sister to have sex with him in a spare bedroom, the prosecutor says.

The cops reportedly find a pair of the girl's pajama pants which are soiled with Jelani's DNA, though David insists that the mother intentionally puts the DNA on the pants herself. "Jackie became obsessed with Nicki Minaj-getting her hands on her money," the lawyer claims. "An evil Jackie targeted him [Jelani], trying to get him to marry her, and then just four months after they were married, we have this."

While it remains to be seen when the rapper will testify during the trial, defense private investigator Les Levine states that Nicki will be called to the stand on her brother's behalf. The "No Fraud" rapper previously posted his $100,000 bail when he was arrested in 2015.
