AceShowbiz - Anthony Scaramucci has been fired as White House communications director, just 10 days after he was hired by President Donald Trump. His exit was reportedly at the request of the new Chief of Staff John Kelly, who began his first day in the White House on Monday, July 31.
"Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. "Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best."
The news has drawn reactions from social media users, including Kate Hudson and Chelsea Handler. Hudson shared a meme which likens Scaramucci and Trump's relationship to a couple in her movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" starring Matthew McConaughey. "Box office results are in! The #1 comedy in America!" she captioned it.
Handler enthused, " 'We have 3 or 4 people we're gonna fire tomorrow' little did we know he was talking about himself."

Meanwhile, comedians saw Scaramucci's ouster as a big loss as they had intended to make the Wall Street financier the object of their mockery. Thousands of comedians protested outside the White House on Monday afternoon, demanding that the Mooch to be reinstated. They argued that the abrupt removal of Scaramucci was like taking the food out of their families' mouths.
Comedian Tracy Klugian suggested that only someone like Gary Busey or Snooki could top Scaramucci.
Scaramucci's exit comes following his NSFW comments during a late-night interview with The New Yorker. He called out former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, saying he's "a f**ing paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac." He also lashed out at White House adviser Steve Bannon.
