The 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo' actor will enlist to the military on September 11 and serve as a motorcycle military police for two years.

AceShowbiz - Kang Ha Neul is ready to begin his mandatory military service. The 27-year-old actor is set to enlist to the military on September 11 after promoting his upcoming movie "Midnight Runners", which will be released in South Korea on August 9.

Ha Neul has been accepted as a police officer of Republic of Korea Capital Defense Command. He will serve as a motorcycle military police whose task is to guard important personnel as a security escort. The "To the Beautiful You" actor had to go through tough interview and physical evaluation in order to be accepted.

Due to his enlistment, Ha Neul was forced to withdraw from the upcoming OCN crime drama "Bad Guys 2". A source from the TV station revealed that the production team failed to adjust the filming schedule with Ha Neul's enlistment date.

Although he was supposed to star on the series about bad boys, "The Heirs" star recently talked about his image as a "nice guy" in the entertainment industry. "I can't remember if I ever lost my temper," he said. "When you think about something from the opposing person's perspective, it's hard to find a reason to become angry. However, there are some people who see this in a negative light and say that I'm just bottling up my anger."

"I've heard people say that they think I'm weak-willed or that I'm wearing a mask," he continued. "When I was younger, I was so busy trying to explain away each of these criticisms but now I have learned to just accept that some people will always think that way."
