AceShowbiz - People might think that no one would do Whitney Houston like herself. However, in Tuesday, June 27 episode of "America's Got Talent" season 12, a guy proved that he came close to the singing diva while belting out Whitney's hit song "I Have Nothing".

Johnny Manuel joined the competition in the hopes of continuing his dream. Johnny said that he was signed to a label at the age of 14 and once toured with NSYNC. He surprised everyone, including judges Simon Cowell, Melanie Brown a.k.a. Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, with his song choice which required a combination of range and power to pull off.

However, fear nothing, people. Johnny flawlessly nailed the song as he hit every single note beautifully. Johnny flaunted his incredible upper register once the song hit the over tune. He earned a standing ovation from almost everyone in the room. "I was not expecting that," Howie said. Johnny received a four-yes from the judges and went to the West Coast.

Johnny expressed his excitement on his Twitter account. "I'm completely overwhelmed. West Coast here we go!! @AGT #AGT," he tweeted on Tuesday, June 27.

Another talented singer performing in the episode was Carlos De Antonis. No one expected the cab driver, who entered the stage in such an entertaining manner, would offer us a breathtaking performance of "Nessun Dorma". The 52-year-old Miami native belted out the opera song, much to everyone's surprise. Howie stood up even before Carlos finished singing, while Heidi was clapping halfway through. Receiving a four-yes, Carlos made it to the next round.
