AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt went to VIP rehab after splitting with Angelina Jolie. Page Six is the first to claim that the 53-year-old actor attended a special VIP facility for professional help in getting sober following his bitter split with the "Maleficent" star late last year.
According to the news outlet, Pitt attended meetings and therapy sessions at the facility in a private residence. It's said to be set up by "a wealthy individual who had suffered with substance issues and wanted to help others in a similar position."
Sources reveal to the site that "it provides 'intense' group and one-on-one programs to aid with recovery from dependency, among other things." A source tells the news outlet, "He has used this time for a lot of self-reflection, self-improvement."
Pitt opened up about his struggles with alcohol in an interview with GQ Style which was published last week, but he didn't mention rehab. "I can't remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn't boozing or had a spliff, or something. Something," he told the men's magazine.
The "Fury" actor added that although he had quit drugs when he started a family with Jolie, "I was boozing too much" around the time the 41-year-old awards-winning actress filed for divorce from him in September 2016. "It's just become a problem."
