The 'Thor: Ragnarok' actor reportedly looked for an engagement ring for the 'Shake It Off' singer just a month after they started dating.

AceShowbiz - Tom Hiddleston was close to popping the question to Taylor Swift before they split recently, according to Us Weekly. The news outlet, which was also the first to report the two stars' breakup, said that the "Thor: Ragnarok" actor already looked for an engagement ring for the pop diva just a month after they started dating.
"Just two months ago, [Hiddleston] was contemplating buying a ring for [Swift]," an insider told the magazine, adding, "He's talked about it all: marriage and kids. I wouldn't be surprised if he proposed."
However, the Us Weekly claims turn out to be false. After contacting a source close to Hiddleston, Gossip Cop can confirm that the 35-year-old hunk never wanted to get engaged to Swift so soon. The source adds that the report about the actor ring-shopping and talking about marrying Swift is "trash."
Hiddleston and Swift began dating earlier this summer, just weeks after her relationship with Calvin Harris came to an abrupt end. The duo previously known as Hiddleswift broke up earlier this week, reportedly after he asked her to go to the 2016 Emmy Awards with him.
"She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship," a source revealed. "Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up."
Swift has been handling the split pretty well. She has several time been spotted stepping out in New York City with a big smile on her face. She also looked happy when attending a party with BFF Lily Aldridge on Wednesday night, September 7.

"She is hanging with her girls for emotional support and friendship. She has a close set of women around her," a source said to E! News of Swift. "It was a very emotion-filled time [Hiddleswift] spent together. It was a very fast and heavy relationship." The source also claimed that the 26-year-old beauty's "doing OK" now.
