'Alien: Covenant' Set Photos Show Horrible Deaths
Movie

Scorched bodies of what appear to be humanoid creatures are seen frozen in agony on the set of the 'Prometheus' sequel in Sydney.

AceShowbiz - "Alien: Covenant" may show a new form of horrible death. While filming of the movie is currently underway in Sydney, Australia, pictures from the set recently surfaced online, showing what appears to be the aftermath of an attack by aliens.

In the set photos obtained by Daily Mail, scorched bodies of humanoid type creatures were frozen in agony at the moment of their deaths. Some of them were seen crawling and wailing while seemingly trying to reach the top of the staircase. The pictures were taken at a quarry in the New South Wales capital on Thursday, May 19.

In another location, the crew set up huge blocks of stone which were engraved with hieroglyph-like writing. Meanwhile, some actors wearing alien suits were seen fighting nearby. There's also a large stone of man's face which was cracked and half-decapitated.

Elsewhere, huge three-like stumps were shown growing out of a barren rocky landscape.

"Covenant", set ten years after "Prometheus", will follow a colony ship bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. The crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world - whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

Michael Fassbender reprises his role as David, joined by the likes of Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Jussie Smollett, Danny McBride, Carmen Ejogo and Demian Bichir among others. Noomi Rapace, who played Elizabeth Shaw in 2012's "Prometheus", will only make a brief appearance.

Ridley Scott is back to serve behind the lens, with Damon Lindelof and Jonathan Spaihts providing the script. The sci-fi thriller is set for an August 4, 2017 release in the United States.
