Watch Justin Bieber Get Emotional and Cry at Philadelphia Concert
Music

The 22-year-old pop star had told fans in an Instagram post the night before that the Philly gig would be 'a good one.'

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber had some waterworks at his Saturday, May 7 concert in Philadelphia. The singer got so emotional after performing his song "Purpose" that he got caught fighting back tears during the concert held at Wells Fargo Arena.

In a clip shot by a fan, Bieber was not smiling when he moved towards the front of the stage. He sat on the ground and started belting out the song's lyrics which reportedly are about his relationship with God. The 22-year-old closed his eyes most of the time as he sang and by the end of the song, tears were running down his cheeks. He quickly got up to wipe them out.

It was just a few days ago that Bieber had a new face tattoo of a small cross near the corner of his eye. Tattoo artist Jonboy told Us Weekly, "It represents his journey in finding purpose with God." Bieber posted an Instagram photo of the new tattoo and wrote, "Resting up for the show in Philly it's gonna be a good one mark my words."

The Philadelphia concert was not the first time that he shed a tear on stage. He cried after performing "What Do You Mean?" at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. He also broke down last November during a show in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of "Purpose".
