AceShowbiz - Daisy Ridley is getting ready for another war. Variety has reported that the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actress is set to star in "The Lost Wife", a pre-World War II romantic drama based on the novel by Alyson Richman.

In the movie set in 1930's Prague, she will play a talented art student named Lenka who falls madly in love with her best friend's older brother Josef. However, their love life gets ruined by the imminent Nazi invasion.

Written by Marc Klein, "The Lost Wife" still has no studio or director attached. Variety notes that the film is a top priority and will be brought to the Cannes Film Festival next month.

Ridley is currently filming "Star Wars Episode VIII", in which she will reprise her role as Rey. She will next reunite with "The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams in "Kolma", a remake of the Israeli film "All I've Got".

In other casting news, "Blade Runner 2" has just tapped Sylvia Hoeks for a leading role. The Dutch actress joins Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas and Dave Bautista in the sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 flick "Blade Runner".

"Sylvia is a radiant talent, a tremendous actress with great appeal in a wide variety of roles," Alcon Entertainment's Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson say when announcing the news. "Her addition to this vastly accomplished international cast is a perfect fit."

The untitled Blade Runner project is expected to be released on October 6, 2017. Denis Villeneuve ("Sicario", "Prisoners") is directing the film, which is set several decades after the original, based on a script written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.
