To celebrate Corden's one-year anniversary as 'Late Late Show' host, the network will air 'Carpool Karaoke' primetime special with a new segment featuring the 'American Idol' judge.

AceShowbiz - Before it becomes a new TV show, the favorite segment on "The Late Late Show with James Corden", "Carpool Karaoke", is coming to primetime. To commemorate James Corden's one-year anniversary as the show's host, CBS will air "The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special" on Tuesday, March 29 at 10 P.M. ET/PT.

The hourlong special will feature highlights from the past year and Corden's favorite moments so far, as well as a new "Carpool Karaoke" edition with Jennifer Lopez. You can expect to see Corden and the "American Idol" judge singing some of her hits, like "If You Had My Love", "Jenny from the Block" and "Love Don't Cost a Thing".

"I have loved every minute of hosting 'The Late Late Show'. It's been an incredible year," the British funnyman said in a statement. "I look forward to this hour on primetime to look at some of my favorite moments and share a couple of great new ones. I can't wait!"

News of the "Carpool Karaoke" primetime special comes after it was reported that Corden and his "Late Late Show" executive producer Ben Winston would be shopping an original series based on the popular segment. While the "Into the Woods" star wouldn't be hosting the potential new series, he would be heavily involved as an executive producer and might make occasional appearances, so THR reported.
