NAACP Image Awards 2016: 'Creed' Dominates Full Winner List in Movie

'Creed' star Michael B. Jordan takes home outstanding movie actor and Entertainer of the Year awards, while 'Straight Outta Compton' is named the best motion picture.

AceShowbiz - Winners of the 47th NAACP Image Awards were partly unveiled on a gala taking place Thursday, February 4 at the Pasadena Conference Center. Winners in some categories were announced before the event, but 10 categories in movie, music and TV were revealed live on stage during a two-hour TV One telecast on February 5 at 9:00 P.M. ET.

In the early announcement, "Creed" dominated the winners list by taking home Outstanding Writing, Directing and Supporting Actress (Phylicia Rashad). "Straight Outta Compton" star O'Shea Jackson Jr. nabbed the Supporting Actor category while Netflix's "Beasts of No Nation" won the indie film nod.

In the televised event hosted by Anthony Anderson, Michael B. Jordan won the Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in "Creed". The Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture nod went to "The Perfect Guy" star Sanaa Lathan. Meanwhile, the top honor of Outstanding Motion Picture belonged to "Straight Outta Compton".

Michael B. Jordan additionally nabbed the coveted Entertainer of the Year award.
