The 'Django Unchained' actor rushes to pull the victim out of the smoking vehicle before it could burst into flames.

AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx played the good Samaritan on Monday night, January 18. The actor came to the rescue of a driver who was trapped inside a burning car following an accident. He pulled the person out of the wrecked vehicle before it could burst into flames.

The "Django Unchained" star rushed outside when he heard a loud crash near his house in Hidden Valley, California. He found a smoking car with the driver still buckled in his seat. He called 911 and got the victim to safety before paramedics arrived.

Apparently the driver lost control of the car after skidding off the wet roads. The unidentified person hit a ditch and flipped the vehicle upside down. The victim suffered burns and was transported to hospital. "Jamie didn't hesitate. He jumped out and ran to the car," a rep for the actor told ABC News.

In a separate statement, police confirmed that "two witnesses that were near the collision scene ran to the burning, overturned truck in an attempt to free the driver." It was a single car accident. The driver was eventually "arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol."
