The 'Fuller House' actor faces up to six months in prison if convicted of driving under the influence.

AceShowbiz - John Stamos is slapped with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence. The charge stems from the "Fuller House" actor's June arrest in Beverly Hills. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center back then "due to a possible medical condition."

The 52-year-old star was discharged from the hospital soon after. He then checked himself into rehab for substance abuse the following month. It was later rumored that he was under the influence of date rape drug GHB and another non-narcotic drug at the time of his arrest.

Last month when visiting "Today" show, Stamos attributed his reckless behavior to his mother's death. "I lost my mother last year, who was the love of my life - obviously a difficult time for me," he said. "I had this moment, I had some time off and I had a decision to make. So I took advantage of the time and I made a choice, and I'm just so grateful that I did."

The actor is due to be arraigned on Friday, October 16 and faces up to six months in jail if convicted.
