The freshman drama thriller starring Jaimie Alexander has earned an order for nine additional episodes.

AceShowbiz - For being a strong performer, "Blindspot" has got a full season pick-up from NBC. The freshman drama from Greg Berlanti and Martin Gero has received an order for nine additional episodes after the network had ordered nine additional back-up scripts for the Jaimie Alexander-starring thriller in September. It's the first fall freshman series to earn a full-season order.

Centering on a Jane Doe (Alexander) who has no memories of her past when he's found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos, the series has become the No.1-rated new series in the coveted adults demo. It has averaged a 2.7 rating/9 share in adults 18-49 and 9.6 million viewers overall.

In other news, "Blindspot" has tapped "The Borgias" alum Francois Arnaud to star in a recurring role as a mysterious character from Jane's distant past. Other details, including how many episodes he's booked for and when he will first appear, are not available.

"Blindspot" airs Mondays at 10 P.M.
