While millions of people are talking about the extramarital affair site, Hollywood plans to cash in on the story.

AceShowbiz - Hollywood would not miss the trend, including the glorification of Ashley Madison scandals. It has been reported that OutEast Entertainment partners Steven Marrs and Courtney Hazlett are producing a TV series based on the cheating site.

Written by Jennifer Kennedy, "Thank You Ashley Madison" will not follow the original creation. Noel Biderman found the site in 2001, designing it originally for married women. However, Hazlett said having a man as the center of the story was "stereotypical," thus changing the main character to a good mother who launched the site to help support her family.

Ashley Madison became popular lately following hacks that revealed public figure's accounts. Josh Duggar confessed to cheating on his wife amid the controversy. "There are a lot of TV shows doing a great job of presenting marriage story lines in new ways, but what we're positing here is, what if there is a third lane to run in and what if you were honest about it?" Hazlett told THR.

The hack would be incorporated into the TV series at some point. "What if you didn't need a hack to have this conversation? Maybe this is where your life just is, and no shows on television are offering that," Hazlett continued.

Marblemedia's co-CEO Matt Hornburg added, "We are in the early stages of developing a scripted series inspired by the site which, given the events from the past week, make the themes explored more timely." On why the project was being fast tracked, Hazlett said, "Anytime 30 million people are doing anything, it becomes worthy of a real discussion."
