After her breakup with Matt in December 2014, the brunette beauty booked a private oasis in Canada's Rocky Mountains, which made her have a week-long silent vow.

AceShowbiz - Emma Watson has her own way to cope with breakup. In an interview with Vogue U.K., the gender equality activist revealed that she gave herself a silent treatment after splitting from Matt Janney in December 2014.

"I felt really uncomfortable," Emma said. "Even before my relationship ended, I went on a silent retreat, because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself." The brunette beauty explained that she booked a private oasis in Canada's Rocky Mountains, which made her have a week-long silent vow.

Despite the breakup, the "Harry Potter" actress admitted that she had good dating experiences. "The boyfriends or partners I've had have generally made me feel really cherished," Emma confessed. "They've built me up. I certainly haven't found that with doing all that I do or being all that I am, that I've struggled in my love life."

The 25-year-old actress denied speculation saying that her celebrity status and success might have a negative impact on her romance. "I just think it's very patronizing towards men," she said. "It undermines them."

Her relationship aside, Emma is currently enjoying her new role as a Goodwill Ambassador for U.N. Women. "Part of me relaxed after I took on that position, it gave me a sense of belonging and purpose," she explained. "Everything clicked in to place, in a way that it hadn't before. I understood what I'm here to do and knew where to channel all this energy that has been coming at me. I now feel this sense of peace. People say that I'm different since I did it."
