Pharrell's New Song 'Freedom' Previewed in Apple Music Ad

A portion of Skateboard P's new track appears in the ad to promote Beats 1, a'24/7 worldwide radio' only available on Apple Music.

AceShowbiz - Apple has debuted a commercial for their new streaming service, which was officially announced on Monday, June 8. Released online on Tuesday, the ad features a preview of Pharrell Williams' new song called "Freedom".

The one-minute video which promotes Beats 1, a "24/7 worldwide radio" only available on Apple Music, opens with a little introduction from its host Zane Lowe before the intro of Pharrell's track kicks in.

Over the jazz-tinged beat, Skateboard P opens the song, "Hold on, don't let me go/ Who cares what they see, who cares what they know/ Your first name is Free, last name is Dom/ Choose to believe in where we're from." He repeatedly sings, "Freedom!" in the chorus.

Pharrell joins Drake and The Weeknd as a partner of Apple Music, which will launch on June 30. In the meantime, the "Happy" hitmaker is busy with "Dope", a film he executive produces. He's also contributed four original songs to its soundtrack.
