AceShowbiz - Britney Spears announced during a surprise appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday, May 5 that she will be extending her Las Vegas residency for an additional three months. During the taping of the show she also talked about breaking her ankle on stage last week while performing at her sold-out Piece of Me show at Planet Hollywood.

"The show must go on," Spears told host Ellen DeGeneres, adding that she is extending her residency at Planet Holiday "for three more months." DeGeneres then joked, I just think you should give our entire audience tickets. And the pop star did give the entire audience free tickets to her show.

And when it came to her broken ankle, Spears revealed she "tore some ligaments" when she fell. The 33-year-old music star explained, "I actually wasn't doing anything that hard. I was just kind of bopping around. I've done, like, eight years worth of shows and I've never actually fell on stage so it was really kind of embarrassing." She added, "I just fell down, and I got up, and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going."
