Shortly after Zayn Malik announced his departure from the band, a report surfaced claiming that Harry wants to leave too to become an actor and a solo performer.

AceShowbiz - Harry Styles may be the next member to quit One Direction. While Directioners around the world still can't come to terms with Zayn Malik's departure, a new report has surfaced claiming that Harry may be exiting the band too to become an actor.
"Harry has told his friends that the wants to get into acting. He loves Los Angeles," a so-called insider told E! News. Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend is reportedly also considering a career as a solo singer. The site said the 21-year-old heartthrob had worked on some solo project with several big names in music.
"He's been writing with other artists like Meghan Trainor, Kodaline and Ariana Grande," the source continued.
Another source supported the claim, also telling E! News, "Harry has distanced himself from the rest of the band over the last year. He considers himself to be on a different path to the other boys. He certainly has hopes of doing solo stuff, branching out on his own, and so this might be the natural juncture in which to do that."
After taking a break from One Directions' tour due to "stress," Zayn announced he left the band in a statement posted on Facebook on Wednesday, March 25. "I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight," he wrote. "I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."
The band played their first show as a four-piece in Jakarta, Indonesia also on Wednesday. During the concert, Harry was caught shedding tears while he and the other boys were in the middle of singing a song onstage.
