The 77-year-old comedian canceled two stand-up comedy performances in Boston as a former model and actress named Helen Gumpel held a press conference, accusing him of sexual assault.

AceShowbiz - Bill Cosby canceled two stand-up comedy performances in Boston on Sunday, February 8. He was originally scheduled to perform at The Wilbur Theater at 5:00 P.M. and at 7:45 P.M. The venue announced the news on its website, writing, "Bill Cosby shows have been cancelled. All refunds will be available at point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Amid the cancellation, a group of 20 protesters gathered outside the venue on Sunday evening. "Just because the show is canceled doesn't mean we're going to stop protesting rape culture," one of the protesters named Brandie Skorker told The Boston Globe. Another protester named Nicole Sullivan said, "It doesn't matter that it's cold, and that it's snowing. This is an epidemic. He needs to be taken down."

Bill said in a statement, "I have decided to cancel for your travel safety. No need to worry, I will be back soon to raise the roof with laughter." Bill's representative Andrew Wyatt denied that the cancellation was related to the protests but due to the "treacherous" weather. "Mr. Cosby is dedicated to his fans, the protesters, and human rights issues. This is all about safety," Andrew said.

On the same day, a former model and actress named Helen Gumpel, formerly known as Helen Selby, held a press conference in Boston, accusing Bill of sexual assault. Helen claimed Bill made sexual advances and lewd gestures toward her on the set of "The Cosby Show". The comedian allegedly got her sit on a sofa in his dressing room where he gave her a drink. He then stood in front of her with his crotch in her face.

Bill's representative said he didn't know about Helen's event and refused to comment on the allegations.
